amNY reported that responders took both motorists to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where Slowe was pronounced dead and the pickup driver was listed in stable condition.

The sources disagree on the pickup driver's direction

The official record lists the driver in a Dodge entry going north and the Chevrolet sedan driver going east; amNY reported police said the pickup driver was going southbound and Slowe was driving eastbound. The official entries describe both motorists as going straight before the crash.

No arrest had been reported the next day
