Pickup driver fatally hits 66-year-old bicyclist in Bronx
A 24-year-old driver in a GMC pickup hit a 66-year-old bicyclist at Commonwealth and Westchester avenues just before noon, and city crash data recorded the rider as the only person killed.

EMS took the rider to Jacobi
EMS took the bicyclist to Jacobi Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, according to police accounts quoted by the Post and the Daily News. amNY reported that EMS brought him there in critical condition before he was later pronounced dead.
Police told outlets that the pickup driver remained at the scene. The Post reported that police did not suspect criminality at that time, and the Daily News and amNY reported no arrests as the investigation continued.
