Driver charged after Bronx crash kills passenger on Randall Ave
A northbound SUV driver disregarded traffic control at Castle Hill and Randall avenues just after 12:49 a.m., and police later charged Dimas Cuadrado after passenger Dorilys Ramos died.

A 43-year-old man driving a 2011 Lincoln MKX north on Castle Hill Avenue hit an Infiniti going west on Randall Avenue shortly before 12:50 a.m., the Daily News reported. Dorilys Ramos, 27, was riding in the Infiniti and died at Jacobi Medical Center. The official record lists one motorist killed, two motorists injured, traffic control disregarded, and alcohol involvement for the Lincoln driver. Police arrested Dimas Cuadrado and charged him with criminally negligent homicide, vehicular manslaughter, vehicular assault, driving while intoxicated and driving while ability impaired, according to the Daily News.
A northbound driver hit an Infiniti crossing Randall Avenue
The crash happened at 12:49 a.m. at Castle Hill Avenue and Randall Avenue in the Bronx. The official record lists one motorist killed and two motorists injured, with traffic control disregarded as a contributing factor.
The Daily News reported that Dimas Cuadrado, 43, was driving a 2011 Lincoln MKX north on Castle Hill Avenue when he hit an Infiniti going west on Randall Avenue. After the first impact, the Infiniti was pushed northwest and a parked, unoccupied Honda Pilot was also hit.
Dorilys Ramos died after the collision
Medics took the Infiniti driver and his passenger, Dorilys Ramos, to Jacobi Medical Center, the Daily News reported. Ramos, 27, lived nearby in Clason Point and was pronounced dead at the hospital; the Infiniti driver was in stable condition.
The Daily News also reported that medics took Cuadrado and a 37-year-old woman riding with him to Jacobi Medical Center in stable condition, and that a 41-year-old man riding in the Lincoln was not injured.
Police cited alcohol-related charges
The official record lists traffic control disregarded for the crash and alcohol involvement for the Lincoln driver. The Daily News reported that police arrested Cuadrado and charged him with criminally negligent homicide, vehicular manslaughter, vehicular assault, driving while intoxicated and driving while ability impaired.
His arraignment was pending in Bronx Criminal Court when the Daily News report was published.
