A driver operating a northbound SUV in the official record hit and killed a 58-year-old pedestrian near 570 Pennsylvania Ave. at 6:07 p.m., and the Daily News reported the driver was in an unmarked NYPD warrant-squad Toyota Sienna.

A witness described a collapse before the impact

DHS worker Shawn Carter told the Daily News that the woman “passed right out in the street” and fell before the impact. Carter also told the paper the driver was moving “real fast” without lights or sirens.

The vehicle was described two ways

The official crash record lists a 2023 Toyota station wagon/SUV with three occupants. The Daily News, citing police and sources, described the NYPD warrant-squad vehicle as a black Toyota Sienna and an unmarked police van.

EMS took the woman to Brookdale

Emergency Medical Services transported the woman to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center, where she died, the Daily News reported. The operator remained at the scene, and the paper reported no arrests.
