Lafleur died at Kings County Hospital
The Daily News identified the pedestrian as Maurette Lafleur and reported that medics rushed her to Kings County Hospital, where she could not be saved. The paper said Lafleur was about two miles from home when she was hit.
Streetsblog reported that Lafleur lived on nearby E. 39th Street. A salon owner near the scene, Lorna Johnson, told Streetsblog she had trouble sleeping after witnessing the crash.
