The official vehicle record lists a 2026 Tesla sedan traveling west and a bike traveling south before the crash. It also lists two parked SUVs with damage, but the reviewed news accounts do not describe their role.
Fox 5 reported that police were searching for the blue Tesla whose driver they said left after the collision.
Accounts Differ on the Cyclist's Direction of Travel
The official record lists the bike traveling south and the Tesla sedan traveling west. Fox 5 likewise reported that Huggins was biking south on Leonard Street when a driver traveling west on Meserole Street hit her.
Patch's account includes conflicting wording, saying Huggins was riding west and also saying she was biking along Leonard Street. Both reviewed articles report that the driver left the scene.
